This surface oxide film provides the corrosion resistance to the Al. A simultaneous thermal analysis<br \/>\nconsisting of thermogravimetry analysis\/differential scanning calorimetry (TGA\/DSC) on different morphology and size of Al<br \/>\npowders was carried out in air up to the temperature of 1600o<br \/>\nC. The study shows that the Al oxidation occurs in two stages,<br \/>\ni.e. the solid- and the liquid-state .The rate of the oxide film growth becomes more rapid at higher temperature.
