Perusahaan mengalami kesulitan untuk menurunkan tingkat kecacatan produk<br \/>\ntersebut. Hal inilah yang mendasari penelitian dengan metode Taguchi yang bertujuan untuk<br \/>\nmenurunkan tingkat kecacatan produk.<br \/>\nDari survey lapangan didapatkan faktor-faktor yang dicurigai dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk<br \/>\ndiagram tulang ikan. Dari faktor-faktor yang dicurigai berpengaruh, perusahaan memilih faktorfaktor yang diijinkan untuk dieksperimentasikan. Empat faktor yang akan dieksperimentasikan<br \/>\nadalah persentase bahan pelet, temperatur (217\u00b0C, 225\u00b0C, 233\u00b0C), tekanan injeksi (92 Bar, 93<br \/>\nBar, 94 Bar), screw speed (81%, 83%, 85%). Metode Taguchi dipergunakan untuk menentukan<br \/>\nkombinasi dan jumlah dari eksperimen.<br \/>\nDari tingkat kecacatan tiap kondisi dilakukan analisa sehingga didapatkan variabel yang<br \/>\nberpengaruh.
