As my knowledge of God and His creation grow, I find<br \/>\nmyself in awe of creative and detailed results of His hands in creating materials as resources of<br \/>\nthe earth provided for human usage. (Genesis 1:28) The term materials used in this paper is to<br \/>\nmean those chiefly inorganic materials that are extracted from the Earth\u2019s crust and are restricted<br \/>\nto metals and ceramics only which are the major interests of the author. All the materials needed<br \/>\nfor health and prosperity of human societies have come from the Earth, His creation directly and<br \/>\nindirectly. God wants us to use what He has put in the world: &#8220;For the Lord your God is bringing<br \/>\nyou into a good land &#8211; \u2026\u2026 a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the<br \/>\nhills. (Deuteronomy 8: 9, NIV) This paper aims and focuses on exploring and showing God\u2019s<br \/>\nperfect works in creating materials (Genesis 1:31-2:1) by revealing some fundamental concepts<br \/>\nlearned in materials science as a result of the creativity and curiosity of man as an image bearer<br \/>\nof his Creator. (Genesis 1:27; 2:15) The discussion in this paper is based on the belief and<br \/>\nunderstanding of God\u2019s Word mainly in the book of Genesis chapter 1 and 2: the world was<br \/>\nmade by God, man had to work; and He that gave us this earth for our habitation, has made us<br \/>\nsomething to work upon to share our time and thoughts.
