Ivan Christian Hernando is a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Petra Christian University, Surabaya. His research focuses on the automotive field, specifically the development and enhancement of vehicle performance and stability. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Petra Christian University, where his final project involved the design and fabrication of a 6-DOF serial manipulator robot. He pursued his master's degree at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), conducting research on improving vehicle stability using the torque vectoring method.
In the automotive field, he served as the Team Leader for the 2020 KMHE (Energy-Efficient Car Contest) and won a silver medal in the vehicle body aerodynamics category. He also holds various professional certifications, including CSWA, CSWP, CSWPA-SU, CSWPA-MM, CSWPA-DT, CSWPA-WD, CSWPA-SM, Bently Accredited AutoPIPE Basic User, and Ansys Associate Certification. These certifications reinforce his competence in engineering design, 3D modeling, and finite element analysis for mechanical engineering applications.
Areas of expertise: Vehicle dynamics and stability, 3D design and modeling, Finite Element Analysis, Dynamic control systems, Serial manipulators.
