Juliana Anggono is the Head of the Institute for Christian Spirituality and Leadership Development (LPK3) and a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Petra Christian University, specializing in materials science and engineering, particularly natural fiber-based composites and sustainable materials. Her research focuses on the development of environmentally friendly materials based on local biomass for industrial applications. green manufacturing as a contribution to responsible and sustainable innovation.

In addition to her roles as a researcher and educator, she possesses experience in academic leadership, having served as a Dean, Head of an Institute, and Vice-Rector. For Juliana, materials engineering is not merely a technical matter but part of a divine calling to fulfill the cultural mandate of delivering solutions that make a positive impact on the environment and society.

Juliana completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Metallurgy at the University of Indonesia, then went on to pursue her master's and doctoral studies at the Manchester Materials Science Centre, The University of Manchester, UK.

Areas of expertise: Characterization of material mechanical properties; material composition-processing-structure-performance relationships; development of composites based on natural fibers/local biomass.
